I received my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in 1998 and was licensed as a clinical psychologist in California in 1990 (PSY11837). As part of my training, I completed internships at Pomona Valley Family Services, and the California Institute of Technology, in the Student Counseling Center. I remained there for my post-doctoral work, at which time I began my private practice, in Pasadena. I continued to work part-time at Caltech as Staff Psychologist for 12 years, spending 10 of those as the Director of Training for their pre-doctoral program.

For additional professional education, I have pursued specific training in Mindfulness Practices, Contemporary Analytic Psychotherapy, Depth Psychology, and the Clinical Implications of Psychopharmacology.

I have also offered training, for public and professional audiences, in Relaxation, Meditation, and Stress Reduction Techniques; Working with Dreams; Sexual and Gender Identity; Treating the Intellectually Gifted; and a number of other topics.

For the length of my career I have engaged in Professional Consultation and Peer Group Supervision.
